Get Paid To

             GPT   PointDollars Member Tutorial

The aim of the tutorial is to teach members how to get the most out of the site and earn the most money.  We've heard from several members that they complete an offer and get credit, but then the very next offer won't credit to their account.  There could be several possible reasons for this and we're going to tackle as many as we have control over right now. This tutorial will be added to and/or modified as the need arises.  I know it might be a lengthy read and sound complicated but it's really not.  Just learn this stuff and make money.  The more you learn, the more you'll make and the happier you will be.

I want to make sure you understand up front that advertisers control what offers credit to you and what ones don't.  We have zero control over it.  If you don't get credit for an offer well guess what... we don't either.
That being said... Let's get to it.

Some advertisers may run multiple offers... I'm sure you've seen it already... one advertiser we'll call ABC for our example will run one offer giving away a Visa gift card, and right under it the SAME company giving away a Walmart Gift card.  They may be listed like this:

ABC - Get a $500 Visa Gift Card
then the next one:
ABC - Get a $100 Walmart Gift Card

But in reality it's the SAME COMPANY running both.... so what's happening is you get credit for the first one... but the #1 reason the 2nd one doesn't credit to you is because they already have your info.  We're going to go over how to avoid that in just a moment.

Other members have stated they are having problems getting ANY offer to convert and credit to their account.  Possible reasons could be that you've already completed a similar offer on our site (OR ANOTHER SITE), your cookies are disabled in your browser, your firewall is blocking the pixel (a tiny graphic that fire upon completion to credit your account as having completed the offer) OR you may just need to clear your cache.

SO... HERE IS WHAT WE RECOMMEND WHEN COMPLETING OFFERS TO ENSURE THE BEST POSSIBLE CHANCE OF GETTING PAID FROM THEM:

Basically it comes down to this:
Do you have your computer set to accept cookies?
-When you are completing offers do you have your popup blocker disabled? (turning off popups usually results in pixels not firing)
-When you are completing offers are you clearing your cookies in between each offer?
-Are you making sure to rotate out emails you use for offers?
-Are you checking your emails for confirmation emails? As sometimes they send a message & you must click a link in it to verify your signup.
-SLOW DOWN -- If you're using Roboform or any automated form filler type software.... you need to read below...

SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS ON ENSURING THE ABOVE ITEMS ARE SET CORRECTLY!!!

1.) ALTERNATE Email Addresses used to submit the offers....
DON'T submit offers using the same e-mail address.  Alternate them.  Use email #1 for your first offer, email #2 for your second offer etc.  We recommend at least 5 or so.
They can be GMail, Yahoo!, HotMail or any other free email provider... take your pick.  As mentioned above... if an advertiser already has the one you've submitted, they're highly UNLIKELY to accept it again.  This step will GREATLY increase your odds of an offer converting and posting to your account.

2.) Clear your cookies before and after every offer.
To do so in Internet Explorer-
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Delete Cookies (or Delete then Delete Cookies in some cases)
Or you can download a program by going to ccleaner.com. Once it is installed simply hit "Run Cleaner".

3.) Clear your temporary internet files before starting offers.
To do so in Internet Explorer-
Go to Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files (or Delete then Delete Files in some cases)

NOTE: For #2 and 3 one of our members recommended Firefox plugins called CookieCutter and BetterPrivacy... Google them.. they will help you immensely and save loads of time...
4.) Turn off your firewall, Norton, or other security programs. These programs can often block cookies that are used to track credit for offers.
5.) Make sure your computer is set to accept cookies. The first thing you should do is check your Privacy settings.
To do so in Internet Explorer-
Go to Tools > Internet Options > then click on the Privacy Tab
You should see a slider bar. Drag the slider bar so it displays Accept All Cookies as your privacy setting. Then click the Advanced tab and UNCHECK "Override automatic cookie handling", if it is checked.
6.) Make sure you are not using an email address that contains banned words. You should NOT use any email address that has the word "spam" or any obscenities in it.
   7.) SLOW DOWN....
If you're using Roboform or any automated form filling software please slow down on the forms... advertisers are getting wise to these automated form fillers and have started timing some of these forms where if it appears that no "thought" went into filling them out, it could cause you to not receive credit for submitting it.  Just trying to give you a heads up....

Now.... if you've already submitted multiple offers using the same e-mail address and they didn't credit to your account...
No worries... after 7 days of "PENDING" status, we will release them and they will be back available for you to do again.  Do them again but remember to alternate your email addresses, clear cookies, delete temporary files etc so that they have a better chance of crediting this time around.

We've also been asked....

I don't even know where to begin.. how do I even complete an offer?!

No problem....
How to complete an offer-
Click on banner or text of the offer, a new page will open up. Complete requirements on the offer site. Requirements are listed in the offer description.
Examples-
Complete FIRST page with VALID information
Complete Name and VALID e-mail submission.
Complete 2nd or 3rd page with VALID information
etc...
How to receive credit-
Once you have completed the requirements of an offer, close it and you will need to click the "SUBMIT" button under it back on PointDollars in order to receive credit for it.

I hope this has been helpful..... If you need additional help... please contact us and we'll help and if need be add your questions on to this tutorial for others to see as well....
